The reason that I went with DirectX 9c was because that version was released as part of the Window 2000 operating system. That means that any Windows operating system 2000 or newer will be able to play the game without having to do anything else. That means they will be able to play this game on about 99% of the current Windows systems out there. DX11 is only standard in Windows 7. That means that in order to play a game that is built in DX11 on amy system other then Windows 7 you will need to download and install DX11.

After we finish this game (you notice I said after because I intend to finish this game) we can build a new game any way we want, and that includes using DX11.

Yay! I read at www.microsoft.com that DirectX 11 comes with an integrated catnip dispenser. :gg:

Great, now Sakura can literally become addicted to video games.

Also about the game. I am almost ready to unvail the updated exe that uses DX9c, but it has a bug that I need to work out first. The Message box will not be in this version yet, but we will be able to display backgrounds and sprites.

The switch to Dx9c has also added some interesting things, we can now add 3D graphics to the game.

The game modes consist of this:
0 - 2D only
1 - 3D with a 2D overlay (HUD)
2 - 3D only.

You will be able to switch game modes in game. I also have removed the 1280x1024 resolution.

I have no idea how those modes would look but it sounds really cool 8D

That would be a bad idea because 4E is currently not supported on many devices.
Besides, we would be better off working up to that by useing 3E or even 4D first because those have been proven to work.

You do reliese that a lot of inside jokes are going to work their way into this game based on you.
Catnip and the goddess of cuteness are just two I have planned so far. :gg:

Since there is a shop I suggest "catnip chips" as the currency :love:
However I'd eat all the coins as soon as I get them :sob:
