We have Pumas (mountain lions) but they are rare in Minnesota, long legged woods rats (deer) aren't. Semi trucks do a pretty good job of eliminating a few along the highways. Maybe if I tied Lucy to the tree in the back yard?

Less than three weeks till election time and we don't have a viable candidate. There is a decent independent, but he really has no chance to win, so we have a choice between the most corrupt candidate ever to run for president, and the most egotistical blowhard ever to run for president. Maybe I should look into moving to New Zealand.

Oh my, have meercy with the poor deer. Lucy would be overkill!

Heh, remember the year where it took you months and several attempts to elect a president? If both candidates weren't so dangerous we'd laugh our little backs off.

Hopefully, our system of government checks and balances can keep them from becoming dangerous. I just hope we can break out of this cycle of socialist thinking in our government. Socialism has failed everywhere it has been tried, yet people keep thinking they can make it work. Unfortunately, human nature will never let us create a utopia.

This sickening election cycle will be over tomorrow night. I hope God isn't ready to give up on the USA yet.

My old flip phone is dying. The battery is going dead faster all the time. I guess I have to replace the thing. I ordered a smart phone......... I don't know if I want a phone that's smarter than I am.

Oh I'm not afraid of his politics. He doesn't have too much friends with his own party. They will cut down his "ideas" in congress and senate.

However I absolutely hate his wicked personality.

About your phone, just check the ifixit.com website. I even managed to replace an iphone battery with their tools and manuals. In Germany handy-repair-shops are popping up left and right, in my town there are already 3 of them around the town square. I guess, replacing a "flip phone" will prove difficult because "flip" has been replaced with "smart" half a decade ago :thumb:

After five years in my pocket, I fear a new battery would be a poor investment. There are still flip phones available, but a toy junky like me would like something more fun...... like a refurbished galaxy S5 that I got for 200 bucks on Amazon. I wonder if it was actually a new phone, just a surplus older model. It was packaged llike a new one and looks completely new. It took a bit to get it set up by Verizon since my old phone didn't have a sim card. I had to buy the sim card for 15 bucks, but now it works just fine, i just have to learn how to use all this stuff.

Well it will most likely work, but it's an Android smartphone :pif:

6 years ago I have switched my mobile computing to Apple and 2 years ago the same happened to my desktop. While it's rather expensive, after you said goodbye to that huge bunch of money you're quite happy with the decision. I have already saved weeks of fiddling around with my windows system literally and all the software I need for work is on a virtual windows machine, running fine in a window.

One suggestion is, never to install a mobile banking app on your phone. Because if some criminal gets root on your phone he can empty your bank account.

The cold has come. Wind chills will be 0 degrees F by morning, and not much warmer all day.

Please by god, use metrics! *sigh*

I know Fahrenheit 451, the temperature Paper ignites. Because of a certain british author Bradbury.

What's up with your linguistic features, e.g. the 5 Minutes book? Can I have Arisa's school uniform now?

Arisa hit the wrong button and has been caught in a temporal loop......... Groundhog Day? Ok, I promise to work on that.

Metrics? you mean that weird stuff? Ok, lets see, we got 22.8cm of snow yesterday and it was -21.66 degrees c in the morning. They forecast colder than that for the next few days with the wind kicking up to make things worse. ((is that better, kitten?))

Here's a look out my back window, Just a bit of snow. Now they predict overnight temps so be -31.6c or lower, wind chill factor of -40 to -45.5c. It could be a cold winter due to the La Nina effect.
